CHOIR MEMBERSHIP
Wincanton Choral Society is a community choir. Membership is open to all who wish to enjoy choral singing (there is no audition) and have paid the annual subscription at the current rate. The level of subscription is determined each year at the Annual General Meeting.
The Society’s season normally extends from September to May with a ‘break’ during the Christmas and New Year period. Rehearsals are held each Monday evening in the Performance Enhancement Centre of King Arthur’s Community School, Wincanton, from 7.15 pm to 9.00 pm. Music is supplied free of charge. There is ample car-parking space.
The Society presents two concerts each season; one just before Christmas and the second in the Spring. These concerts are given in the Wincanton Sports Centre, usually on a Sunday evening.
Attendance at rehearsals is strongly encouraged. The only rule governing attendance is a requirement for members to attend the last three rehearsals prior to a concert if they wish to sing in that concert
